The Lower Saxonian Minister President Stephan Weil conducted a journey through Lower Saxony to be updated on the subject of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In this context, he visited L3S Research Center and Leibniz Uni Hannover on 12 February 2020. L3S presented current projects related to these topics, such as TRUSTS, showcasing how it develops methods and technologies for digital change and researches the effects of digitisation.
“AI is a huge topic,” said Stephan Weil, before informing himself about various projects at the L3S in this poster exhibition, which included the poster of TRUSTS and of the IDSA Competence Center co-founded at L3S by Alexandra Garatzogianni, the TRUSTS coordinator. TRUSTS was presented to participants of other faculties that attended this event and poster session. Questions regarding the scope and objectives of the project were answered highlighting how TRUSTS will ensure trust in the concept of data markets as a whole via its focus on developing a platform based on the experience of two large national projects, while allowing the integration and adoption of future platforms by means of interoperability.
The IDSA Competence Center at the Leibniz Joint Lab Data Science & Open Knowledge supports companies in Lower Saxony in terms of secure data exchange along the value chain. “The IDSA Competence Center in Lower Saxony constitutes an interface between industry, research and science. It aims to support the introduction of new AI technologies and business models, the digitisation and the exchange of best practices, standards and data. In this way, Lower Saxony will play an even more important role in the European and international network by ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of the regional industry,” says Alexandra Garatzogianni, responsible for the Lower Saxony IDSA Competence Center.
